Business Screen is a service of Corporate Screening & Investigations, Inc. Our clients trust us with sensitive information about the companies and people they do business with. Keeping that information secure is built into how we work, from our platform to our people.

Our security controls are being audited by an independent CPA firm for SOC 2 Type 2. The report is pending.
Secure platform
Our platform runs on Microsoft Azure in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, backed up daily and protected by security monitoring.
Controlled access
Access to client data is based on role and limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. We review access regularly and remove it promptly when someone changes roles or leaves.
Trusted people
Our investigators are licensed private investigators in the State of Ohio. Every employee is background checked, signs a confidentiality agreement and completes security awareness training every year. Company devices are centrally managed, encrypted and protected against malware.
Tested defenses
Independent security specialists scan our systems for vulnerabilities every month, and we commission a penetration test every year. Findings are tracked and fixed within set timelines.
Prepared for the unexpected
We maintain written incident response and business continuity plans and test them every year. If an incident affects your data, we will notify you without undue delay.
Careful with data
We keep data only as long as our retention schedule allows, then delete it securely. We also review the security practices of the vendors and data providers we rely on.
Your part in keeping data secure
- Keep your login details confidential, and don’t share accounts.
- Give access only to people in your organization who need it, and remove users who leave.
- Use reports only for the purposes allowed in your agreement with us.
- Tell us right away if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission.
